El Reno Tornado Reclassified as EF5, Widest Tornado Ever

The El Reno Tornado that struck on 31st May 2013 has now been reclassified as an EF5.
The tornado winds reached a speed of 296 Miles Per Hour (476 kph) and it was 2.6 miles wide. That makes this tornado the widest ever recorded.

A friend of the NDA, Mark Rees, sent us this image which he took from a bridge as the Tornado hit the El Reno area.
